Jack's 1st day of kindergarten or my first day of real life

Jack was so excited about this day!! So was Jack's mom. Everyone was up very early. Taylor also started middle school today but it is not cool to be snapping pictures of a 6th grader getting on the bus. That bus picked him up at 6:46 a.m., by the way.
What was really funny was Jack asking if the bell was going to ring and if he needed to run. All his life he has ridden with me to drop the others off at school and we were usually running late so I would tell them to run before the bell rang. He just figured that's what you do when you go to school. I got cracked up.

Allie was being his mother and showing him stuff and telling him what to do.

this is sweet

ok, after this one I am going to bed. This is where I found all the kids sleeping, even though they all have their own rooms. I hope they always enjoy each other's company so much.

Little 8s race

ok, now I'm getting crazy with the posts, but I figure, make hay while the kids are sleeping. They all ran in the Funfest agegroup races on Saturday. It was lots of fun. Jack ran 100 yards, but freaked out before the finish b/c he couldn't find Hanes. Allie ran 300 yards, which is a long way for a little kid. She did great, but got a cramp and was very upset she didn't win. Hannah and Taylor both ran 600 yards and both got 4th (I think) in the 10/11 girls, 10/11 boys divisions. Even though gas is 4.00 a gallon, I will still be searching for the medallion at least one day, just for nostalgic reasons.

I also thought I'd add this video since it is fun

More about the Blue hole

before the slide down the rock that can bust your chin open
on the way to the trail after busting chin open
very sad about busted chin
Daddy's plan to stop the bleeding
And after the stitches......

I can't get my pictures on in order so I will do 2 posts of the same thing. If I did this more than once every six months I might get the hang of it. Anyway, we had to cut our trip short because Jack fell and hit his chin on a rock and had to get stictches. Now he will always remember our first trip to the blue hole.

The Blue Hole

I have lived here my entire life and never knew this place existed. We had sooo much fun. It was beautiful.

I had fun taking pictures, but it was soooo hard not to fall in the water and drop my camera. I think I will have more fun next time with no camera. I think the kids would have stayed all day long.

I can't change the order of the pictures on here. Steph, what do I do???
Anywway, these first ones are of me trying to use the timer option on my camera. I couldn't go fast enough because the rocks were so slick, so I barely made it. If you look really carefully you can see how hard Hanes is laughing in the first one.Made it this time
not this time....
made it this time
Jack, who is very nervous all the time, just decided to go ahead and swim across. I have no idea how deep it is.
The rocks were VERY slippery

I am working on a compilation of funny pictures I have (and I have a whole lot).
Here's a sample:
